As I've mentioned a few times by now, there is a great channel on the OSR Discord server called #dice-democracy where you can crowdsource random tables. I'm presenting tables that I started, now that they're finished.

Therefore, this isn't 100% my work; the people on the server are very creative when it comes to stuff like this. I remain very grateful for them putting up with my ideas for tables.

Ghosts on the Moon (d30)

Moon's haunted. Why? What's there?

1. Empty cities of a lost civilization, phase shifted just out of reach

2. The screaming souls of the moon faeries, who died simultaneously when the water and air was stolen from the Moon millennia ago 

3. There were 33 secret missions to the Moon in the 19th century. All landed. None returned.

4. The moon is a stillborn planet, haunted by what could have been.

5. Wrathful solar specters are preparing to breach our planet's magnetic field.

6. Radio frequencies reverberate into terrifying and prophetic spectrums.

7. People found a loophole to cheat death, kinda. Word spread and for a good 20 years everybody came back as a ghost. An archmage fed up with ghosts all over his freaking tower like flies created a ritual to condense all ghosts at the time and press them into a ball, which he then flung into the sky. TL;DR the moon is made of ghosts, every now and then one breaks free and bobs around

8. The Moon is the fossilized eye of an ancient god, and the Lunar ghosts are the final images seen by the deity before it died. 

9. The afterlife is overcrowded, so new souls are being sent to the moon as it's the heavenly overflow.

10. The moon is a sentient being, and the ghosts seen on the surface are the moon's projected dreams and nightmares made real.

11. Cosmonauts Alexei Smirnov and Sofia Omarov were annihilated when their craft made impact with the lunar surface in April 1969. The Spectre of Communism that flew with them was not.
